Defend the Movement Québec/Défense des Militant.e.s Québec Legal Clinic (DMQ)
Salary: 16.60 hourly/35 hours per week Start date is flexible but hours for the 8 weeks total must be completed by 31 August 2026.
Defend the Movement Québec is a movement law clinic in Old Montreal providing legal services to progressive activists. Under the supervision of the two DMQ criminal defense lawyers, the assistant will be responsible for conducting research, drafting legal documents, preparing case materials, organizing case files, and dealing with clients. DMQ is committed to anti-oppression values.

Qualifications:
To apply for this job, you must:
- Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
- Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
International students and other temporary residents of Canada are not eligible.
Important: You can only work one full-time job funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program at a time.
